Rachel Jayson
Viola
Rachel Jayson has been an orchestra director at Lexington High School since 2009. Her ensembles have won many gold medals at the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) Concert Festival as well as performed at Symphony Hall in Boston and Mechanics Hall in Worcester. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Viola Performance and a Masters of Music Education from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Outside of Lexington, she performs regularly as a violist in the Boston-based Art Rock band, Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys and teaches for the Berklee Institute of Arts Education and Special Needs (formerly the Boston Conservatory Autism Spectrum Program).
