Double bassist Bryce Putt has performed with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra, and New England Philharmonic Orchestra. Bryce also performs with Jennifer Trần Đoàn, an Arizona-based violist, violinist, and pianist. With Jennifer, Bryce creates arrangements of pop music by artists such as Michael Jackson and Selena Gomez, for viola and bass. He believes that bass is as versatile and beautiful as typical soloistic instruments, which is why he toured schools in Tucson, Arizona, showing young musicians the abilities of the bass.
Bryce graduated summa cum laude from The University of Arizona with a degree in music performance, under the tutelage of Philip Alejo. He received full tuition, while also receiving rewards like the Medici Scholarship and the Dorothy M. Freeman Scholarship, an award Bryce’s professor nominated him for. Bryce is pursuing a master’s degree in music performance at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
